Artist’s Statement
The act of painting and drawing pulls on the whole person: body,
soul and intellect. This is why attempting to create something
interesting and fresh is a “unifying” experience. Putting
your whole self into it is essential. I believe it’s the
same with any art form. Acquiring skill is one thing. A more difficult
challenge is answering the questions: “Where am I going?” “What
do I want to say?” and “How can I most effectively
express this?” Painting and drawing ends up being an exploration
of your inner world and the world around you.
